Yesterday, Ellie decided that she was ready for a snack. So she opened the pantry door and helped herself to an apple...BITE! Apparently Ellie is a little like Goldilocks, and decided there was something wrong with the 1st apple(too crisp?), so she bit into a 2nd apple....too juicy...so on to the third...JUST RIGHT! Then she put them all back in the box. I have to give her a little credit for two things though:
- She came and got me, led me into the pantry, and showed me her apple...s.
- She performed this little apple tasting fest while I was putting a load of clothes in the washer...in all of, oh, TWO minutes?!!

When Lauren was little, she used to do that ALL the time!!! It drove me crazy....her excuse was, she couldn't eat it all at once, so she put it back to save it for later, only when later came, she forgot she already started one, and would start the process all over again.....good grief....Lance and I just learned to eat "used" apples..
I keep my apples in a basket by the table and this happens when Brittany's little boy comes over - there are bite marks in most the apples. Cute!
ahhhhhh! that happens alot in our house. at least she put them in the box again instead of left to mold somewhere and found later! don't you love new independence?
