and OH BOY, has the grumpiness begun!
I'm sure it's a combination of pain, boredom, and hunger for real food, but this afternoon Nicole was having a hard time.....clingy, crying unless mom or dad were with her on the couch, and the most bizarre "angry" behavior if she wasn't getting what she wanted....throwing stuff and hitting with her pillow...I made it clear pretty quick that it didn't matter what was going on, that wasn't acceptable. She has never acted like that. Maybe she's having an odd side-effect from the anesthesia....3 days later?!
I went to Wal-Mart tonight....it was kind-of nice to just wander and get some down-time. But then I remembered I was at Wal-Mart...how sad to go there for "enjoyment"!
Hopefully tomorrow will be better, but they did warn that days 3-7 can be the worst.
Cross your fingers for me ! :)

Hoooooooooo boy. I sure remember the post T&A fun. GOOD LUCK in the next few days. If you're really going nuts, give me a call and I'll bring you some good takeout.
THe before picture of those tonsils is NASTY. No wonder she was obstructing. That's about how Rachel's looked for six months or so but they've lately shrunken down slightly and she's not having so much trouble.
oh not fun! she's probably bored, and not super comfortable, and tired of eating soft food. have you tired oatmeal? stew? grilled cheese? pasta with butter or white sauce? rice? refried beans? cake? who doesn't love cake? i figure if it's soft and has some calorie content it's better than nothing. drinkable yogurt? maybe she's just bitter no one else has had to suffer like this?
gotta love wandering at walmart, it may not be classy, but it's open late, and they have everything, feeling crafty? need a book? groceries. i kinda like the options there. great for killing time alone.
hope today was better. and OH i was eating chips the week after she'll buck up soon. watch out for stinky breath. that is fabulous! as it heals. YIKES.
POOR GIRL! I guess that also means poor Mom. They say it is terribly painful. I don't care where I go if it means peace and quiet! Well within reason... Sure hope she starts feling better soon:_
