Here goes....

I may be exposing a little bit more of my unstable personality than I want to the world with this, but I need to vent.

I do not like our dog....loathe, detest, want to give him away type of "do not like."

He needs a haircut, and since I refuse to blow $40 on the ding-dong, I do it myself. But I hate it. It takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r because I wait until he is covered in long hair and needs to be shaved. I have not had a good 2 hour block to sit and do it. So he is shedding this freaking long hair EVERYWHERE and it is driving. me. NUTS!

He also needs his toenails clipped. He paces through the part of the house he is allowed in, which is on the tile, and the clickety-clickety of his nails is driving. me. NUTS! Oh, and he also whines/moans for no apparent reason. All the time. Like a squeaky door. Maybe he senses my hostility.

He emits a sickening green cloud of noxious gas frequently from his nether-regions that is pretty bad. I may hurt the next person I see feed him people food because it gets worse after that.

He pukes. Pretty frequently in my opinion. Ron always says, well, you should be glad he does it on the tile...HUH? I should be glad I get to clean up dog puke? Oh yeah, sign me up.

In the winter, he poops on the deck, and I hate this behavior. I want to load him up and take him to the pound whenever I see a new pile out there.

I shouldn't complain about him. He doesn't bark, except at birds and UPS men. He doesn't chew things up. He is house trained....except for the gas and puking.

But I don't like him.

Did I mention he sheds....and if I see another dog hair on my kids Sunday clothes in church I might cry?

Anyone want a dog?

Thanks. I feel better now. Maybe I'll go cut his nails so I can cross the clickety-clickety off my list of complaints!

Do not feel bad at all! Not everyone can be an animal lover! I have a large German Boxer and well the pund has crosed my mind a time or two as well!! The throw up would be the clincher for me...NO WAY!!!!!

We have a dog that I would love to get rid of as well! Don't feel bad!
Jared is sooo cute on the quad- yay for ebay!
And I hope that all goes well with Nicole's surgery. It's good that she has a chance to feel better, right?
I know how you feel- I would be worried too!

Is this the same Andrea that had a HOUSE-FUL of animals growing up?? Big dogs with lots of hair too if I'm not mistaken.... :)

I hate your dog too.

Puke? That is not OK.

He probably has a tumor....better put him to sleep.

Steph...I am still laughing out loud at your comment. Yes, I grew up with animals...and I guess you could classify it as a houseful since at times the dogs/cats did outnumber the people in the house. I suppose you could now say I "saw the light!" That or became more of a germ/dirt-o-phobe...

Ron threatened to comment on this post that I "begged for the dog".....his memory is flawed. I never begged for a dog. We decided that we would get a family pet, and he had promised Riley, so we followed through. I wanted the cock-a-poo that we were too far down on the adoption list to get. I was worried that this cocker would shed too much...and I was right. But I did not beg for this dog...I agreed to him.

Oh you slay me!!! I'm afraid I'd be putting the same things up on my blog if I ever had a dog. We won't, I can guarantee it. I don't dislike them, just not in my house thank you very much.\

A couple of days ago I came home to find some nice people standing in my driveway flagging me down. My neighbor's dog jumped all the way through their front window and escaped, and since they weren't home, these nice people came and bestowed him on me. Loverly. Amazingly, he came away unscathed despite the shards of glass all over the place.
